The Obama Deception
I was referred to this movie buy a colleague of mine. Although I don’t agree with its underlying conclusions, it is nonetheless interesting. The producers suggest some kind of secret society with plans for world domination that are currently underway and completely successful to this point. Of course, they accuse all of the major power players in Washington, the top bankers in the world, as well as some other world leaders. Check it out.
Could this be the next “Davinci Code”
The idea that someone or some group of people could mastermind a plan for the secret takeover of the entire world is somewhat absurd. With that exception, much of what is said here is absolutely true. The president of the United States is for the most part a puppet. Regardless of who is elected, that president must continue most of the policies of his predecessor. Obama has recently realized this. His hands are tied in many situations like the Iraq war. The real source of the president’s power is the bully pulpit. He has the ability to greatly influence the attitudes of most Americans and through that means influence congress. He is still held accountable for his actions because every action he takes is made public.
The real power in this country belongs to the Federal Reserve Chairman. He is way more responsible for the economic conditions of the United States. This is why stock markets become extremely volatile whenever the Fed chairman gives a public speech. The Federal Reserve controls the money supply. The president has absolutely zilch to do with it. Isn’t it hard to believe that a person with as much power as the fed chairman isn’t even elected to his office? No sir. He is appointed by whoever the current sitting president is when the previous chairman’s term is up. His term is four years with a maximum of 14 consecutive years.
To illustrate just how much they impact our economy, take a look at Alan Greenspan. Right after the World Trade center attacks of 9/11, Alan Greenspan (the sitting Fed Chairman), lowered interest rates to the lowest levels in our nation’s history up to that point. His intention was to encourage people and businesses to borrow & spend so as to offset the negative spending patterns that would occur because of the terrorist attacks. He succeeded in doing so. He also succeeded in igniting housing inflation in all the hot spots that eventually lead to the giant real estate bubble.
Greenspan, along with politicians, also encouraged Wall Street to come up with alternative financing methods to make it easier for more people (especially low income earners) to become home owners. Wall Street obliged by creating the credit default swap. Everyone in the mortgage banking business knew that one day the system would implode. If they didn’t know it, they are admitting their own lack of understanding of their own industry. You bet your ass they knew it. They just didn’t know when it would happen.
It was the exact same scenario that Greenspan had created during the stock market bubble of the late 1990’s. Anyone old enough to remember it can testify that internet companies were trading at unimaginable and obviously absurd price levels. Look at the stock charts from back then. They went straight up. Everyone knew that one day the bubble would burst. Just like every one of these economists at the fed knew the housing bubble would one day burst leading to the conditions of today. Yet, because of political pressure or some other unknown reason, they decided to allow the bubble to expand and expand.
The guys in this movie insist that this is all orchestrated intentionally in some kind of elaborate scheme for a super secret group of billionaires to take over the world. I don’t think the world will ever know a man or group of men smart enough to actually accomplish such a feat. Thankfully, every one of them has failed thus far, including Adolf Hitler. In an era where weathermen can’t even accurately predict if it will rain or snow next week in Buffalo, I doubt these guys would even be remotely capable of hiding such a complex worldwide economic takeover scheme. It’s just too big of a stretch for me.
Nice thought provoker though. I rather enjoyed it.
