I know Democrats who are actually Republicans
In my experience, there are many people in America that hold the very same core beliefs as Republicans and yet they still consider themselves Democrats. It amazes me how often I notice this among people my age and younger. Yet, I have never seen the reverse. It seems that the Democrats have been able to convince people that Republicans are a bunch of clueless Holy-rollers. They have succeeded in convincing many young people that you can’t possibly be a Republican unless you are some kind of Jesus freak or greedy business tycoon. Nothing could be farther from the truth. As a matter of fact, the vast majority of Republicans I know are not all that religious and not even close to being a business tycoon. They don’t talk about their religion publicly. When it comes down to it, there are only a couple of issues that are affected significantly by religious beliefs at all. They are issues like abortion, separation of church and state, and gay marriage. The rest of the major issues are completely independent of religion.
Can you even explain why you’re a Democrat?
Are you a reasonably intelligent person?
Do you believe government wastes too much money?
Do you believe that people should be responsible for their own actions?
Do you believe you should save money for your retirement?
Do you hate the current welfare system?
Are you sick of crack heads using welfare benefits to buy more drugs?
Are you sick of uneducated mothers pumping out children while they are on welfare?
Do you want to be in charge of how your paycheck is being spent?
Do you manage your own money and pay your own bills?
Do you believe in hard work and working for a living?
Do you believe that getting married and starting a family should bring happiness into people’s lives?
Do you believe children are one of the most precious things on earth?
Do you believe it’s the parent’s job to see that their children are raised properly?
Do you love this country?
Well my friend, if you answered yes to all of these questions, then your values are right in line with the average Republican’s values. The whole concept of Republicans being greedy war mongers is completely fabricated by the mainstream media in order to get you to watch television, listen to news and read more newspapers. That is a fact. Without divisiveness, people don’t pay attention to the news as much. It is obviously in the best financial interests of the mainstream media to promote fighting and arguments.
Pay attention to how the Democrats will pick any bad thing happening in this country and immediately blame it on the Republicans. They will try to convince you that you need to blame someone in government (aka the Republicans) for every single thing that is not going right in your life. If you’re struggling financially, it’s not because government needs to do more for you, it’s because you need to do more for yourself. Maybe you need to train for a better job. Maybe you need to quit driving a car that costs as much as your house. Use some common sense people.
