About the author

I am a married man, 36 years old in 2008, living in upstate New York.  My wife and I haven’t had any children yet, which is why I have the time to write for my blog.  During my college years, I came to realize that my beliefs were closely aligned with the values espoused by republican leaders.  In 1994 I registered as a Republican & have remained one ever since.

Since high school, I have had an interest in our American political process.  It fascinates me to watch politicians sway public opinion one way or another.  I am amazed at how some politicians, (mostly high ranking Democrats), are able to fool the general public into thinking certain policies are in their best interests.  It also amazes me to see how absolutely power hungry some of the politicians are.  They are willing to say anything, regardless of who it hurts, for their own political gain.  A perfect example is former New York governor Elliot Spitzer.  How could a populace be so stupid to elect such a fraud?

I have very few local friends who share my strong interest in politics.  I am hoping to make many new friends through this blog.  I want to meet intelligent rational people, whether Republican, Democrat, Conservative or Liberal, who are capable of explaining and adequately justifying their position.
